Despite the victory, West Ham are not yet out of the drop zone. Chelsea, meanwhile, squandered a chance to pull level with Manchester United, who will host a crucial derby match against leaders Manchester City late Sunday. The Hammers entered Saturday's contest on their worst run since December 2015, with only three draws to show for their last eight Premier League matches.
